GERMAN SILVER SWEETMEAT DISHES, EARLY 20TH C. , TWO, L 5 1/2", INCLUDING MARTIN MAYER:Each is identically styled with a classical oval medallion at both sides surmounted by a bowknot, pierced floral swags and ribbons, gold wash interior; one is stamped with German crescent moon and crown, 800, and mark of Martin Mayer of Mainz, and fitted with a conforming cobalt blue glass liner, while the other is marked "935 Sterling". Both measure H.2" x 5 1/2" x 3 1/4"; totaling approximately 5.79 troy oz. for silver only.
