Zagelmeyer' along with acanthus leaf motif and scenes with knights on horseback, also etched: 'The Henderson Ames Co. Kalamazoo'; faux ivory handle with monogram; plated metal guard, knights head pommel, plated metal bands on nickel plated scabbard which also is etched: 'Frank L. Zagelmeyer' and scenes with knights a red accented cross and blue crown; second sword has a 28" etched steel plate blade inscribed: 'Frank Zagelmeyer' and 'Knights of Pythias', and 'Pettibone Mfg. Co. Cincinnati' on ricasso; black with brass wire hilt, cast metal guard with 'FCB', birds and standing knight in high relief; knights head pommel, link chain from guard to base of pommel; nickel plated scabbard with cast metal fittings; guard, pommel and scabbard fitting all have dark patina;
