William Greason was born in 1884 in Ontario, Canada. He studied painting at the Pennsylvania Academy of Fine Arts with H. Breckenridge and William Meritt Chase. He was a member of the Salmagundi Club in New York City, which was an early important art club that held regular exhibitions. From the collection of Ralph and Pearl McKenney, Grosse Pointe Farms.
