ENGLISH PATE-SUR-PATE PORCELAIN VASE, LATE 19TH C. , H 7", W 5 3/4":Possibly by Mintons, the gourd-form vase flanked by gilt snake handles, decorated in white slip at the front with Venus and Cupid on a stippled ground, gilt flowering branches about, medium blue decoration at the neck and flaring base. Attributed to Thomas Rice at the underside (see additional photo).
