American maker's include Simons Bros. and Waite, Thresher Co.; other markings include one thimble is marked with a B enclosed within a diamond, another with "UR Sterling" and one English thimble includes the markings of Birmingham (anchor, lion passant and worn date letter-probably b; maker's initials are worn), the thimble marked "875" has Latvian hallmarks and 1 other thimble with worn Continental markings. The nine marked thimbles total approximately 1.25 trz.
