French, late 19th century. A pair of large barbotine majolica vases glazed to a marble effect, one in pinks and greens and the other in mauve, red, and green, each with applied decoration along neck of flowers and small birds, and along bulbous body with a bird in a branchtop nest surrounded by flowers. Impressed mold mark on bottom "48". Approximately 23.25" tall x 11 1/8" diameter at opening.
