BRUSHED WOOL APPLIQUE, 19TH C. , 22" X 17", STANDING WOMAN:Depicting a standing woman in a period dress. Stitched to the background with overstitching applied to a central field. The face is drawn with pen and ink while the soft bluish grey woven felt dress is stitched with embroidery thread. The necklace is human hair and the roses are silk thread. Having a ruby felt background. Framed and matted under glass. Measures 22 1/4" x 17 1/4".
