AMERICAN SILVER SWEET MEAT BASKET, POSSIBLY G. MOLTMANN, CIRCA 1850, H 4 5/8", W 4 1/2", L 6 1/2":Swing handle with palmette, mask and tendril motifs, above an oval bowl secured within an pierced frame featuring classical style masks, horses and acanthus leaves, raised on four dolphin legs and a square plinth. Hallmarks include S within a square and a double-stamped maker, appears to be "G. Moltmann". Height to top of handle 8 1/4".
