Joined and Paneled Pine, Poplar, and Maple Storage Box, Connecticut, c. 1720, the hinged top with four molded edges and cleats beneath opens to a cavity; the facade consists of two raised rectangular panels with applied moldings interspersed with four applied turned black-painted spindles over a heavy molded base, old color, (imperfections), ht. wd. 10 1/4, case 25 1/2, top wd. 28 1/4 in.
