Mariano Fortuny Silk Pleated "Delphos" Gown with Venetian Glass Beadwork, c. 1910, Venice, Italy, in tea pink, with clear beads across shoulders, around armholes and down side seams, with three hand-decorated strips of fabric/sashes which vary in width, signed "Made in Italy Fabrique en Italie Fortuny Depose," and "Fortuny," lg. approx. 64 in. Lg. varies slightly, hemline uneven. From shoulder to hem 58 to 60 inches. No distinct front or back with exception of inside marking down one seam. A few brown spots to dress, mostly at bottom due to wear. Pleating at bottom and near armholes is less pronounced, also due to wear. Armhole areas with some stitching loss and possibly a missing bead or two. Some areas of restitching to neckline. Piping loose on one side approx. two inches in length, pulled. Dirt, discoloration to bottom of dress. Multiple sashes with dress which vary in width.
