Fabre, Jean-Henri (1823-1915) Fabre's Book of Insects . New York: Tudor Publishing Company, 1935. Retold from Alexander Teixeira de Mattos's translation of Fabre's Souvenirs Entomologiques by Mrs. Rodolph Stawell, illustrated by E.J. Detmold, green publisher's cloth with gilt stamping, rubbed, bumped, becoming loose, with "Discarded" stamp on front endleaves. Together with: volume two only of Hudson's Birds of La Plata , Dent & Dutton, 1920, with colored illustrations by Gronvold, and a separate unbound folio in damaged paper wraps of twenty-two plates from the same work.
