Carved Hua Li Commode Stand, China, c. 1805, the lift top with attached beaded false drawer opens to an interior with a drawer, the sides with carved raised panels, brasses appear to be original, refinished, (alterations), ht. 27 1/4, wd. 23 1/2, dp. 17 1/2 in. part of backboard removed and fitted with a screen; seat removed; part of compartmented drawer is missing; top with shrinkage cracks.
