French Ormolu Figural Jardiniere, 19th century, the oval openwork basket with band of fruiting grapevine supported by two women wearing sheepskin pelts, on a rectangular base with Neoclassical mounts and four scrolled bracket feet, unmarked, ht. 25 in. Darkening and rubbing to gilding with some verdigris. Both women with loose arms. Basket not misshapen or damaged, but with some replaced screws, and slightly wobblely due to design, not wear. Dents and wear to removable copper liner.
