Russian Icon Depicting the Saints Samon, Guri, and Aviv, 19th century, kovcheg panel showing the three standing saints against a gilded background with gilt details to their clothing, with Christ in the clouds in the center above their heads, indistinct stamp and writing to reverse, 12 1/4 x 10 3/8 in. Aviv (far right figure) with loss to paint on lower robes and right hand. Panel with scattered small areas of flaking and loss to paint. Nicks to edge of the panel. Back cut out and braces removed. Panel bowed slightly.
