Relief-carved Mahogany Document Box, Continental, late 18th/early 19th century, dovetail-constructed rectangular box with snipe-hinged lid, the top and sides with all-over relief-carved surface with roundels with five-point stars, pinwheels, quarterfans, geometric and undulating foliate medallions with foliate and sawtooth borders, the top carved with the initials "LKT" and "MLT," one side slides up to reveal a drawer with six compartments, (imperfections), ht. 4 3/4, wd. 10 1/2, dp. 6 in.
