Watercolor on paper, 27 x 37 in., in a period molded giltwood frame. Condition: Laid down onto paperboard, repaired tear c.l., tear u.r. sky, retouch, toning. Provenance: A prominent Cincinnati, Ohio, collector. Note: The Warren Ordway was built in 1866 in Newburyport, Massachusetts, for Mr. A. Currier of that city. Ephemera related to comparable Edward J. Russell paintings accompanies the lot.
