Russian Handkerchief, c. 1911, the machine-made lace and mesh rectangle with central eight-pointed star hand-embroidered on cotton with the Imperial crown above the letter "T" and the Russian date September 20, 1911, 13 x 12; in a common frame with a period photographic postcard of Grand Duchess Tatiana Nikolaevna, sight size 5 1/4 x 3 1/4, and a reproduction photograph of the Imperial Family inspecting work done at a charity craft school, sight size 4 1/2 x 6 1/4, frame 26 5/8 x 18 1/4 in. Provenance: Postcard purchased from Clive Farahar & Sophie Dupre, Wiltshire, England. N.B. The central star on the handkerchief was probably embroidered by a girl at one such school.
