Walnut Carved and Inlaid Tall Case Clock, John Miller, Germantown, Pennsylvania, mid-18th century, the hood with molded swan's neck cresting with geometric carved pinwheels centering a carved plinth above the glazed inlaid tombstone door enclosing and engraved brass dial inscribed "John Miller, Germantown, 1705" in the arch with seconds hand, calendar aperture, and brass weight-driven movement, the heavy mid-molding and thumb-molded tombstone door flanked by reeded quarter-columns on base with thumb-molded raised panel and bracket feet, the case inlaid throughout with stringing, refinished, (imperfections), ht. 86 in.
