Pair of Engraved Brass and Iron Urn-top Andirons, probably Philadelphia, last quarter 18th century, ball finial on beaded urns with engraved guilloche border and foliate and swag decoration, supported on columns encircled by bellflower vines over square plinths with scalloped skirts, engraved with eagle and shield and sunburst motifs on the front and sides, further supported on spurred cabriole legs and ball and claw feet, (minor imperfections). Provenance: William Marshall Prescott of South Carolina (b. 1808), by family descent to the present owner.
