Bakelite Cigarette Brooch, designed as a cigarette suspending three bunches of matches, 3 in. high. (some paint losses)Note: This brooch is pictured on p.124 of "The Bakelite Jewelry Book". Note: Lots 421 to 543 come from the collection of Corinne "Corky" Davidov. Ms. Davidov co-authored "The Bakelite Jewelry Book" (1988) with Ginny Redington Dawes. Many lots in the collection are pictured in the book. Ms. Davidov also co-authored "The Victorian Jewelry Book" (1990) and is currently a writer for Lucire, a global fashion magazine. This collection was amassed over twenty years beginning with a few pieces owned by her mother.
