Large Bisque Closed Mouth Shoulder Head Doll, Germany, late 19th/early 20th century, brown stationary glass eyes, feathered eyebrows, closed mouth with red line between lips, turned ball head with deep modeling at neck, impressed 639 Made in Germany 12, mark of Alt, Beck & Gottschalck (crack from front to back over right shoulder), light brown mohair wig, kid body (some patching at gussets, some sawdust leaking), bisque lower arms, dressed in new cotton and flannel undergarments, pink faille dress and hat, ht. 24 1/2 in.
