Continental School, late 19th century. "Meeting At The Stream", oil on wood panel, indistinguishably signed lower right. Painting depicts a group of Orientalist figures in a landscape settings, three women clustered at right on the muddy bank of a river from which many others on horseback or leading horses gather, some in shadow on left bank of stream, with mountains far in the distance seen between the high banks of the river at center, the high banks in middle ground covered with brown and green trees, some being palm trees. Framed approximately 17.25" x 19.75", unframed approximately 10.5" x 13.25".
