Brass Everest Theodolite by T. Cooke & Sons, York, England, stamped O.S. No. 63 F , with horizontal circle with triple verniers A, B and C , clamp and magnifiers, a tapering pillar supporting wye-mount for removeable vertical half-circle with verniers and 10-inch lg. focusing telescope, tangent-screw motions and three bubble-levels (one defective), on three-screw leveling base, ht. 13 in. , (lacquer partly removed). Note: A similar instrument is advertised in T. Cooke & Sons' 1886 catalogue for pounds sterling.
