Joslin's 12-inch Terrestrial Globe, made up of twelve engraved hand-colored gores, with two printed polar hour rings, equatorial divided by degrees, hours and minutes, ecliptic by days of the month and houses of the Zodiac and their sigils, equinoctial colure by degrees and the meridian of Greenwich ungraduated, the tropics of Cancer and Capricorn, Arctic and Antarctic circles marked in red, with Analemma, tracks of explorers and expedition dates, including Wilkes, Weddell, Cook and Gore, and cartouche Joslin's Terrestrial Globe containing all the Late Discoveries and Geographical Improvements, also the Tracks of the most celebrated Circumnavigators. Compiled from Smith's new English Globe, with additions and improvements by Annin & Smith. Revised by G.W. Boynton. Manufactured by Gilman and Joslin, Boston , in engraved meridian half-circle, on turned walnut stand to circular base, ht. 21 in., (small dent and light crazing).
