Robertson, 1902, the only book in this group not signed by Stoddard; For the Pleasure of his Company , San Francisco: A.M. Robertson, 1903; Exits and Entrances , Boston: Lothrop, [1903], with two fine pencil sketches of graves tucked in; [and] The Island of Tranquil Delights , Boston: Herbert B. Turner & Co., 1904; all copies in good condition, with minor shelf wear; publisher's boards, pictorial, stamped and lettered in gold or colors, various sizes; all but one signed by Stoddard, many with the note, "his own copy," or "the first copy." (10) Stoddard's homoerotic and autobiographical works are important to the development of the genre.
