Carlo Forcolini (Italian (Como/ Milan), b. 1947) for Sidecar/ Artemide (Italian, 20th century). A "Fireball" floor lamp c. 1990s with ebonized metal square base surmounted by polished chrome rectangular tall central shaft and pivoting and extending polished chrome ball form light with cleft opening to one side opposed by flattened metal handle for pivoting ball, a turnkey form knob at top of primary shaft for locking extension. Maker's label to bottom of base with maker, model, and designer information. Approximately 80" tall fully extended, 60" tall when fully collapsed, 9.75" square base. Note: Designs by Carlo Forcolini reside in the permanent collections of Musee des Arts Decoratifs, Paris, and the Museum of Modern Art, New York.
