Two Silver-mounted Blue and White Jugs, China/Netherlands, 18th century or later, made for export, one pear shape, painted with scholars nestled amidst pine trees and bamboo, with foliage on the neck and clouds along the handle, mounted with silver spout and a garlic-shaped silver cover with a scallop-form thumbpiece, ht. 11, the other decorated with bands depicting landscapes, flowering tulip plants, and stylized floral roundels with "Chinaman-type" caricatures, the flat silver lid connected to the foliage-form mount on the handle by a figural thumbpiece, ht. 10 in., bases unmarked.
