Confederate Kepi, c. 1861-65, cadet-gray crown and body with a dark blue satinet band, two U.S. Marine buttons for the painted leather chinstrap, pasteboard visor covered on top with black-painted cloth, and on the bottom with green-painted cloth, the edge bound with black-painted cloth, inside liner is black, with a brown painted cloth sweatband, the underside is penciled with the name Williamson .
