1958 THIS LOT IS BEING SOLD WITHOUT RESERVE lithograph on paper plate size: 64 x 49 cm (25 1/4 x 19 1/4 in. ) signed and dated lower right, titled lower left PROVENANCE Grosvenor Gallery, London LOT NOTES Alexander Vedernikov studied under Alexander Kuprin and Artur Fonvizin at the Nizhny Novgorod Technical Collage of Art from 1921-23, and under Osip Braz and Alexei Karev at VKhUTEMAS/VKhUTEIN in Leningrad from 1924-1927. A member of the Circle of Artists group from 1928-32, Vedernikov worked at the experimental lithographic studio of the Leningrad branch of the Union of Artists from 1939.
