Early to mid 20th century. A commode inspired by 18th century French stylistic elements, the molded pink marble breakfront top surmounting a top frieze drawer with bronze neoclassical mounts over two lower drawers, the facade and sides decorated with parquetry within inlaid stringing and conforming bronze mounts, the scalloped apron with decorative bronze rocaille mount, the cabriole front legs headed by male busts with plumed hats terminating in brass sabots. Approximate height 34.25", length 41.5", width 17.25".
