A 1990s football presented to Pelé by former Disney character animator Milt Neil (1914-1997). Signed "To My Good/ Friend/ Pelé/ Milt Neil," the football features Neil's hand drawn image of a cartoon face. Neil worked for Disney Studios from 1935 to 1944. His credits include Dumbo, Fantasia and Snow White and The Seven Dwarfs. While teaching animation at the Joe Kubert School of Cartoon and Graphic Art in New Jersey, Pelé came to visit him at the school. Neil was developing an animated film featuring Pelé's footbal shoes and a talkiing football. The project was not realized before Neil's death in 1997.
