The Temptations of the Flesh Swiss. Made circa 1780. Gilt-metal and painted on enamel pocket watch with concealed erotic scene. Three-body, bassine, polished, the back cover opening to reveal the erotic scene depicting a seated monk and a lady in a compromising position. White enamel with Arabic numerals, outer minute divisions, winding aperture at 2. Gilt Louis hands. 42 mm., matte gilt full-plate, fusee and chain, pentagonal baluster pillars, verge escapment with micrometric potence adjustment, three-arm brass balance, flat balance spring, continental balance cock with polished steel endplate, silvered regulation dial. Case punched "Leton". Diam. 51 mm. Property of an Swiss collector
