Two-body, “Directoire”, the back cover with a very finely painted Virgin and Child, after the 1514 painting “La Madonna della Sedia” by Raphael, translucent dark blue enamel on an engine- turned background, the bezels set with half-pearls, the band pierced for sound. Protective case: two gilt metal, hinged bezels, one pierced for sound. 35 mm, gilt full plate, cylindrical pillars, fusee and chain, verge escapement, plain three-arm brass balance with blued steel flat balance spring, continental cock, repeating on a bell by depressing the pendant.Signed on the dial and movement.Diam. 50 mm.
