Parkinson & Frodsham Two-day Marine Chronometer, Change Alley, London, no. 1727, the silvered and engraved dial signed Parkinson & Frodsham Change Alley, London. 1727. , with seconds dial, "Up-Down" indicator, and blued steel hands, 2 1/4-in. dia. plate chain-drive fusee movement engraved with maker's name and origin as above, bi-metallic balance with keystone weights and brass timing screws, helical hairspring, diamond endstone and spring detent escapement within a brass dust cover, lacquered brass bowl set in gimbals with locking lever, tipsy key, in three-tier brass-banded mahogany box with bail carrying handles, dial dia. 3 1/4, box ht. 6 1/2, wd. and dp. 6 1/4 in. Movement runs well but could use cleaning, brass components including dust cover, bezel, bowl and key appear to retain original lacquer,
