T. Reynolds Japanned Longcase Clock, London, c. 1775, flat top hood with engaged columns flanking the arched and glazed hood door, composite brass dial engraved T. Reynolds, London , Roman numeral chapter ring, Strike-Silent dial in the arch and cast brass spandrels, tombstone-shaped waist door and molded base all with original japanned decoration including feather-grained sides, eight-day time and strike movement with pendulum and two cast iron weights, ht. 81 in. Japanned decoration in age consistent condition with losses, lacking caddy top and height in the base, weights are modern replacements, period pendulum and winding key.
