Implacable, 14 Guns Off Toward Point, Firth of Clyde Signed and dated "...ARES...18..." l.r., identified on a presentation plaque, titled and inscribed "...Thos. Luny" on the reverse, with a label from The Parker Gallery, London, affixed to the backing. Oil on paperboard, 8 15/16 x 13 9/16 in. (22.7 x 34.4 cm), framed. Condition: Craquelure, minor retouch, minor losses along edges, partial skinning to signature l.r., partially strengthened inscription on the reverse, minor surface grime.
