Mahogany Inlaid Yachtsman's Desk, America or England, early 20th century, in two sections: the lid opens to an elaborate compartmented and green leather decorated interior fitted with a travel timepiece and calendar, and drawers with identifying tags reading "letters unanswered," etc. , and fold-down writing surface, set into lower section with spring-activated central drawer and hinged flanking doors, the cabinet with brass fittings and inlaid with crossbanding and stringing, ht. closed 44 1/2, wd. of base 28, dp. 12 3/4 in. top is bowed, section of top molding missing 5 3/4 inches, paint spatter to top.
