Demonstration Model of Chronometer Detent Escapement, 20th century, the fusee movement with oversize bi-metallic compensation balance, brass adjustment screws and weights, steel table roller fitted to balance staff, blued steel helical hairspring, steel spring locking detent, engraved bridge and base plate marked Chronometer and ARD , in a walnut stand with glazed cover, wd. 9 1/2, dp. 8, ht. 8 in. The fusee movement enclosed within the walnut box is a re-used dial clock plates with only the fusee, mainspring and barrel. The engraved plate with inscription and oversize balance and detent is mounted to the re-used plates.
