“Detent Escapement” Probably Swiss. Made circa 1940. Fine, gilt brass and steel working model of a pivoted detent chronometer escapement. Glazed with gilt brass frame raised on a wooden base. Rectangular gilt brass plates, cylindrical pillars, spring barrel, gilt brass pivoted detent escapement with steel pallets, bimetallic compensation balance with peripheral adjustment screws, flat steel balance spring, incabloc shock absorber, index regulator. Dim. 25.5 x 14 x 22 cm.
