Five Embroidered Panels: China, 19th century, roundels between two horizontal bands with gold-threaded, geometric designs on light blue silk satin ground, each roundel with leaf, floral and root and branch motifs surrounding courtly figures--sages, female dancers and musicians in narrative scenes--all finely embroidered with gold and colored silk threads, framed, each approx. 17 1/2 x 8 in. Very good color and condition with some fading, wear and creases in blue ground
