Jacques Girod a Copet, circa 1690. Fine silver Louis XIV watch with alarm. Double body, bassine, polished, the band pierced and engraved with inhabited foliage. Silver champleve with Roman numerals and inner silver alarm setting disc. Blued steel single hand and pointer. Hinged gilt brass full plate with turned conical pillars, verge escapement, plain steel three-arm balance, flat balance spring, gilt brass cock pierced and engraved with foliage. Alarm train with fixed barrel pierced and engraved with foliage, striking on a bell. Signed on the back plate. In good condition. Diam. 48 mm.
