Continental School, late 19th century. "Portrait of a Lady in Purple", oil on canvas, apparently unsigned. Figural bust portrait painting depicting fair skinned woman at bust length with rosy lips and flushed cheeks, the figure wearing a purple gown with burnt orange wrap or shawl collected at her elbows with proper left hand raised to her breast. Framed approximately 30.3" x 26". Unframed approximately 23.75" x 19.5".
