Continental School, 19th century. "Portrait of Woman with Roses", oil on canvas, unsigned. Painting depicts a young woman seated at knee length wearing ornate gown of blue and white with a low neckline exposing her porcelain decolletage and pearls around her neck, the figure resting her left hand on knee and extending right hand out to grasp a rose bloom. Framed approximately 14 1/2" x 12 3/8", unframed approximately 9 3/4" x 7 7/8".
