Werner Drewes (American/German, 1899-1985) Portrait of the Architect Leistikow, 1928, edition of 10 (Jentsch, I. 140). Signed and dated "W. Drewes -28" in pencil l.r., monogrammed and dated within the plate, annotated in lower margin. Etching on paper, plate size 10 1/8 x 5 1/8 in. (25.5 x 13.0 cm), matted, unframed. Condition: Repaired losses and tears to left margin and just into image, pale toning and staining. N.B. Hans Leistikow was an editor of Das Neue Frankfurt , an architecture and design journal.
