Pair of "Sevres" Bronze-mounted Cobalt Blue Mantel Urns, late 19th century, the domed lids with inverted berry finials and reserve of foliate band at waist, the urn shaped cobalt blue bodies enamel decorated to front with scenes of courting 18th century couples, mounted with ram's head husk pendant handles set atop bronze trumpet bases, the reverse of bodies painted with pastoral landscape scenes, gilt accenting throughout, ht. 19 3/4 in. Mounts loose but all present; porcelain without any chips, cracks or restoration; wear to gilt borders around scenes centered around front and back leafip which have rubbed along as they have shifted; mounts dirty and with minor discoloration.
