Chinese Export Silver Cannister, Hong Kong, late 19th century, Wang Hing & Co. , makers, also bearing Glasgow import mark for 1898, cylindrical, chased, embossed, and pierced to sides with writhing dragons, with unmarked removable liner, with small rocaille handles, the domed lid with bands of dragons and prunus, and rocaille finial, ht. 6 in., weight without liner approx. 22 troy oz. good, with minor age wear. liner unmarked. not tested.
