Attributed to Jean Baptiste Isabey (French, 1767-1855) Portrait of a Gentleman Signed and dated "Isabey 1815" c. r. Watercolor and graphite on paper, oval format, sight size 5 3/8 x 4 in. (13.5 x 10.0 cm), framed. Condition: Abrasion u.l., subtle toning, not examined out of frame. The work has not been removed from its frame. Mild overall toning. Surface abrasion u.l. (not extending into the figure). Small surface abrasion l.r. There appears to be some restoration/loss in the u.l. corner, just visible at edge of the frame.
