After Jean-Baptiste Isabey (French, 1767-1855) Le Congrès de Vienne , engraved by Jean Godefroy (British, 1771-1839) Signed and dated in the plate "J. Isabey..." l.l., "J. Godefroy/1819" l.r., titled and inscribed in the plate l.c. Engraving on paper, image size 23 3/4 x 32 1/4 in., framed. Condition: Small tear to edge u.r., small repair to center, toning, foxing, not examined out of frame. N.B. The engraving is accompanied by a lithograph published by Godefroy Englemann after Isabey in 1819 that acts as a key to identify the Ministers of the Congress of Vienna. The lithograph, which is on a fragmentary sheet, identifies the ministers by name and country, and arranges their thumbnail portraits according to the figures' locations in the engraving. Signed in the matrix "J. Isabey" l.l., the lithograph appears to be affixed to the reverse of the mount or matboard backing.
