Stephanie Chubbuck (American, 21st Century) Glass Peach with Leash and Shelf , 2008 Unsigned. Glass, steel cable, and wood, 6 x 12 x 7 1/2 in. (15.2 x 30.5 x 19.1 cm). Condition: Minor surface abrasions to shelf. Provenance: Through the collection of the artist. N.B. Sold to benefit the Boston Area Rape Crisis Center, Cambridge, Massachusetts. The work is from Chubbuck's Glass Fruit series, produced in blown glass, then cold worked. Powdered pigment is added during shaping to create a naturalistic blush-colored peach skin.
