Small Brass and Steel Crown Wheel Cutting Engine, Switzerland, late 18th/early 19th century, vice-held tool with 1 1/2 in. index wheel having four rows on top and three underneath, with a curved indexing arm, the whole with thumbscrew adjustments and locks, (missing elements including gallows), lg. 6 in. Note: This tool is illustrated as figure 1280 and in figure 1281 on p. 657 in Crom #2.
